Balmain presents Cecile Evans

With the aim of connecting the brand with the Miami art community, Liaisons produced Balmain’s first ever activation during Art Basel featuring a screening of Cecile B Evans’ experimental short film: “A Screen Test for an Adaptation of Giselle.” Liaisons secured the Knight Concert Hall for the event which welcomed an exclusive guest list, including friends of the brand and the artist. The evening began with a cocktail reception in the concert hall’s lobby where archive pieces of Balmain collections were in display. Guests were then invited into the theatre for the screening where they enjoyed the magical experience of having the vast venue all to themselves. Incorporating themes of theatre and drama, Liaisons created an elegant atmosphere with a surprise element after the screening ended: a grand reveal of the dinner tables onstage. The guests enjoyed a five-course menu inspired by Balmain and reveled in an evening of flair, fashion and film.
